Many buildings were experiencing leaks due to failing sealants and broken mortar joints. Additional work completed as part of a preventative maintenance program.
The crews re-caulked all the windows, masonry control joints and dissimilar items.
Tuck pointed the buildings as needed, pressure washed the exteriors, painted miscellaneous areas of the concrete facade and sealed with a silane sealer.
Manufacturer’s warranties achieved on sealants and masonry sealers (5 years)
Crews worked with the University to coordinate work areas to minimize interruption to classes and assure all students and faculty were kept clear of the construction zone.
Caution tape, cones and barricades used to create a control access zone on each building to assure pedestrians were kept clear of working areas.
