1986— Company started in Pontiac, Michigan. Focus was on residential caulking and masonry cleaning.
1997— Canton, Michigan location opened to expand service area to cover southeast Michigan.
2002— Weathershield moved Canton, Michigan location to Ypsilanti, Michigan to accommodate exponential growth in work force. Between two locations nearly 100 field technicians were staffed.
2006— Oswego, Illinois operation opened with a focus on new commercial construction and existing building restoration.
2009— Weathershield expanded into Weatherization in Greater Metro Detroit
2010— Weathershield was the largest weatherization contractor in the state of Michigan
2011— Entered residential new construction insulation market in Southeast Michigan
2015— Estimated that Illinois Division lays three miles of sealant per day in busy season.
2016— Completed over one million dollar sealant restoration project at hotel in downtown Nashville. Largest single project in company history.
2016— The Chicagoland operation moved to Downers Grove, Illinois. The new facility provided much needed space to accommodate the growth of the company. It also allowed for development of a training and educational facility within the warehouse.
2018— Michigan Division has established itself as one of the premier contractors in the insulation market with a fleet of over 20 vehicles
2019— Weathershield remains focused on relationships as their most important asset.
